The reasons for not performing an early pregnancy test

Many women want to test their pregnancy as early as possible due to anxiety. There are few reasons for not performing the early pregnancy test. Let us discuss about two such reasons in the following paragraph.

There are many women who will be consuming fertility drugs to improve the fertility rates as advised by the doctors. The fertility drug that contain pregnancy hormone [HCG] is also popularly used. When those women are subjected to early pregnancy test, one may get false positive result. This is because the early pregnancy test depends on the detection of pregnancy hormone [HCG].

If one wants to test the women who are taking drug containing pregnancy hormone, you need to perform the pregnancy test two or three days latter to first missing period. In case you want to buy a home pregnancy test, one should not go for pregnancy detection test kit which has less sensitivity to HCG; hence they require higher concentration of pregnancy hormone to declare that the test is positive.

Whatever may be the test you are using to confirm the pregnancy, it is always better to confirm the result once again after performing the test few days after or by consulting a doctor.

One should understand that the pregnancy hormone is produced by the placenta the moment the embryo gets attached with the uterine wall. Not all the embryos attached with the uterine wall stays for ever. Nearly 30- 50 % of the embryo dislodges them and pushed out of the uterus for many reasons.

In case one has confirmed the pregnancy by early pregnancy test by highly sensitive test, she will feel heartbroken the moment she gets the period if the embryo has dislodged itself from the uterus after the test. Besides she will feel that the test conducted has given false result. But that is not the truth. She was pregnant when the test was conducted.

So considering the above reason it is better to wait so time to confirm the pregnancy instead of rushing the things. One can really wait for the missing period before attempting any test to confirm the pregnancy in order to avoid unnecessary disappointments.
